Another impressive win by Eire Og, Inis in this Clare Cup game played in Ennis, on a scoreline of 3-15 to 1-09.
Wolfe Tones got off to the better start with a goal on 5 minutes. Eire Og came more into it as the half went on finishing with Thomas Downes goal on half time to go in 1 08 to 1-04. A number of missed chances by Eire Og at the start of the second half coupled by Wolfe Tones economy of effort up front left the sides level after 10 minutes. A goal by Damien McMahon rekindled the flame as he pulled on a breaking ball to the net. This put Eire Og in the driving seat and drive on they did culminating in a Gus Flynn goal from the 20m line close to the end of the game.
Good performances from the younger guns, Noel Murphy, Cormac O'Regan, & Thomas Downes, with Mark Fitz at center back and Marc O'Donnell when he went back in the last quarter.
